The Mayor’s Scholarship Fund has been awarding scholarships to local students in grades 8-12 for over a decade. Former Mayor Jared Fuhriman said, “It takes an entire community to keep the light of success and achievement burning.”  Why have a citywide scholarship program? An educated workforce is good for our community, our city and our state. It takes an extraordinarily visionary community to support students through these scholarships and inspire meaningful change in the lives of Eastern Idaho’s young people. The continued endorsement of individuals, businesses and corporations is vital to our efforts for providing financial assistance to deserving students.
